The Woodland Scenics Just Plug Warm White Nano LED Lights JP5743 are two tiny LEDs for illuminating details in model projects. Each light source measures just 0.5 × 1 mm and produces warm white light with a yellow undertone.
What are Nano LEDs useful for? Consider a scratch-built lamp, a small interior detail or a subtle light source in a diorama. Their compact size allows installation where a larger light would look too conspicuous. Check that your particular model has sufficient room for the LED and its cable route before installation.
Each light has a 60.9 cm cable. Connect its plug to a compatible Just Plug hub and use a suitable power supply. Within that system, there is no need to design your own electrical connection. A hub and power supply are not included with these two lights.
Test the illumination before permanently installing an LED. Choose a position that directs light towards the intended detail while allowing the wiring to remain hidden. Warm white can suggest an older lamp or a welcoming interior; the surrounding colours also influence the final appearance.
These lights appeal to experienced modellers illuminating fine details, as well as beginners starting with a small, manageable project. Rated current consumption is 20mA per light. Include this in the total load on your Just Plug power supply and follow the installation instructions. Do not look directly into an illuminated LED.
