The Vallejo Model Air Starter Set 71647 is a guided introduction to airbrush painting, containing ten Model Air colours, primer and airbrush thinner, each supplied in an 18ml. bottle. The included 127 mm Nova Wing I sci-fi miniature with base provides a specific project for exploring the technique.
Model Air is developed for airbrush application. The selection includes two metallic colours, allowing you to practise different material accents alongside ordinary colour areas. Instructions and a video tutorial accessed by QR code guide you through the project.
How do you use this airbrush starter set? Read the guidance before starting and test the paint on a practice surface. Match dilution and settings to your own airbrush and intended effect. Work with controlled spray passes and assess coverage before adding another coat.
The sci-fi project offers opportunities to explore colour transitions, light and shade. Start with larger surfaces, then develop your control through finer details. The included primer and thinner provide useful supporting products within the same set, rather than supplying colours alone.
This starter set is intended for beginners who have an airbrush setup and modellers undertaking their first focused Model Air painting project. Experienced builders can also use the selected paints for later science-fiction models or other suitable projects.
An airbrush and compressor are not included. The twelve bottles comprise ten colours and two supporting products, rather than twelve different paint colours. Compare the confirmed product numbers below with your existing supplies and follow the directions provided for each auxiliary product.
