Scale75 Scalecolor Cobalt Metal is part of the Scalecolor range by the brand Scale75, made for brush and airbrush, and is a blue metallic acrylic paint in a 17ml eyedropper bottle.
This blue metallic paint consists of very fine pigments and a sturdy acrylic resin with properties of extreme matte finish. Scalecolor is a liquid acrylic paint developed for application with both a brush and an airbrush and is available in an extensive range of colors. The coverage and extra matte finish of Scalecolor are superior to almost all known acrylic paints for miniatures.
Colors can be mixed or diluted with water or any medium, such as varnish, to achieve the desired effect. This also makes it possible to apply the paint with an airbrush. The paint hardly clumps. The paint dries quite quickly and may be slightly more difficult to work with for a beginner painter due to the thickness of the medium, but this in turn produces a fantastic result. Scalecolor adheres exceptionally well to all surfaces. Once the blue metallic paint is protected with varnish (Gloss, Matte, or Satin), Scalecolor can be overpainted with solvent-based paints such as enamels or oil paints. The medium used for this blue metallic acrylic paint has a super matte finish but is quite thick, so we recommend using an agitator ball and shaking well before use. The paint is fantastic for standard layering and blending, but is also very useful as a glaze due to the perfect amount of pigment used.
This metallic color has a soft sheen, as it is part of the Metal 'n Alchemy series by Scale75 paints. The sheen of this blue metallic color is fantastic and is considered one of the best metallic acrylic paints.
The unique feature of this blue metallic paint is that it comes in a so-called "eyedropper" bottle containing 17 ml of acrylic paint. The "eyedropper" makes it very easy to dispense the paint and prevents it from drying out too quickly. Of course, it is always possible that the opening may occasionally become slightly clogged. You can easily resolve this by clearing the opening with a needle or thin cocktail stick.
