Vallejo Model Air IJA Light Grey Green is part of the Model Air program of the Vallejo brand, specially developed for the airbrush and is a grey-green acrylic paint in a 17ml. eyedropper jar.
The strength, hardness and covering power of Model Air is superior to all known acrylic paints for airbrushing. This gray-green paint consists of very fine pigments and an acrylic resin with properties of extreme strength and durability. Model Air is a liquid acrylic paint that has been specially developed for airbrush techniques and is available in a wide range of colors.
Colours can be mixed, Model Air Thinner, with water or any medium such as varnish, to achieve the desired effect. However, we recommend the use of Model Air Thinner as this product retains the properties of the medium and colours. The paint also provides excellent quality when applied with a brush for the finest details, washes and inks and is ideally suited for a layered application such as a glaze. The pigments used for this grey-green airbrush colour have to be specially ground to achieve the best possible consistency to avoid clogging of the airbrush. The revolutionary process of obtaining the pigments used in the Model Air formula ensures that it has the finest texture for applying the colours to a model. Model Air adheres exceptionally well to all surfaces. Once the grey-green paint is protected with varnish, (Gloss, Matte or Satin) Model Air can be overpainted with solvent based paints such as enamels or oil paints.
The "eyedropper" (or eye dropper) ensures that the amount of paint can be dosed very easily and that the paint does not dry out so quickly. The unique thing about this gray-green paint is that it is supplied in a so-called "eyedropper" jar containing 17 ml. acrylic paint. Of course, it can always happen that the opening sometimes gets a little clogged. You can easily solve this by using a needle or thin cocktail stick to clear the opening.
