Scale75 Scalecolor Sky Blue is part of the Scalecolor program of the Scale75 brand, made for brush and airbrush and is a sky blue acrylic paint in a 17ml. eyedropper jar.
This sky blue paint consists of very fine pigments and a strong acrylic resin with properties of extreme mattness. Scalecolor is a liquid acrylic paint that has been developed for application with both a brush and an airbrush and is available in a wide range of colours. The covering power and the extra matt finish of Scalecolor is superior to almost all known acrylic paints for miniatures.
Colors can be mixed or diluted with water or any medium such as varnish to achieve the desired effect. This also makes it possible to airbrush the paint. The paint is virtually clumpy. The medium used for this sky blue acrylic paint color has a super matte finish, but is quite thick so we recommend using an agitator ball and shaking well before use. The paint dries quite quickly and can be a little more difficult for a novice painter to work with due to the thickness of the medium, but it does give a great result. Scalecolor adheres exceptionally well to all surfaces. Once the sky blue paint is protected with varnish, (Gloss, Matte or Satin) Scalecolor can be painted over with solvent based paints such as enamels or oil paints. The paint is fantastic to use for standard layering and blending, but is also very useful as a glaze due to the perfect amount of pigment used.
The unique thing about this sky blue paint is that it comes in a so-called "eyedropper" jar containing 17ml. acrylic paint. The "eyedropper" (or eye dropper) ensures that the amount of paint can be dosed very easily and that the paint does not dry out so quickly. Of course, it can always happen that the opening sometimes gets a little clogged. You can easily solve this by using a needle or thin cocktail stick to clear the opening.
