Scale75 Scalecolor Inktense Olive is part of the Scalecolor program of the brand Scale75, made for brush and airbrush and is an olive green acrylic paint in a 17ml. eyedropper jar.
The opacity and extra matt finish of Scalecolor is superior to almost all known acrylic paints for miniatures. This olive green paint consists of very fine pigments and a strong acrylic resin with properties of extreme mattness. Scalecolor is a liquid acrylic paint that is developed for both brush and airbrush application and is available in a wide range of colours.
The paint dries quite quickly and can be a little more difficult for a beginning painter to work with due to the thickness of the medium, but it does give a great result. The medium used for this olive green acrylic paint colour has a super matte finish, but is quite thick so we recommend using an agitator ball and shaking well before use. Colours can be mixed or diluted with water or any medium such as varnish to achieve the desired effect. This also makes it possible to airbrush the paint. The paint is virtually clump-free. The paint is fantastic for standard layering and blending, but is also very useful as a glaze due to the perfect amount of pigment used. Scalecolor adheres exceptionally well to all surfaces. Once the olive green paint is protected with varnish, (Gloss, Matte or Satin) Scalecolor can be painted over with solvent based paints such as enamels or oil paints.
The Inktensity range is developed as an ink to enhance the colours and brightness. By applying this colour over the other colours they are better blended and provide nicer transitions and more depth in your miniature.
The "eyedropper" (or eye dropper) ensures that the amount of paint can be dosed very easily and that the paint does not dry out so quickly. The unique thing about this olive green paint is that it is supplied in a so-called "eyedropper" jar containing 17ml. acrylic paint. Of course, it can always happen that the opening sometimes gets a little clogged. You can easily solve this by using a needle or thin cocktail stick to clear the opening.
